“I didn’t expect the staff and guests to have such good relationships and mutual respect, or to enjoy myself as much as I do. If I turn out to be anything like some of the volunteers I’ve met when I’m older, I’d be extremely proud. The best part for me was knowing that just offering a few hours of my time a week can be the difference between a guest having a good or bad day.”
